Preparations

tomorrow's the start of the 2-day ogl camp! many preparations have been undergoing for this event! went back to school for meetings/rehersals....lots of work. even more work for those who are in-charge of more stuff. kudos to them, dont feel stress when people come to you and ask what's going on. afterall, who else to look for? =)

well, very few items to bring along this time....as i will be in-charge of the sports league..not much, just pass over the game items and they can play on their own. and i will be facilitator of group 5. the list of people has not been revealed yet...so i don't know who i will be looking after too.

haha, got sick of scions of fate....so decided to browse the net for some games....found this online game called "Last chaos" sounds cool...so i downloaded the game....installing it now....waiting for it to update....and i could play it soon... i uploaded some screenshots from the game...=)

Day 1:

came home after an outing at about 8pm+

Parents: where did you went?

Me: went out somewhere la...

Parents: everyday go out, waste money only.

Me: (as if i do that -_-) ...dont have leh....

Parents: dont have? you had your lunch and dinner outside right?

Me: (duh?) yea, then i dont need to eat meh..

Parents: couldn't you stayed at home and not waste the money on outside food and travel fare?

Me: (want me to tapao home food huh?) aiya....

Parents: what aiya? must you go out to have fun?

Me: it's boring at home..

Parents: we bought the computer for you.

Me: ....it gets boring after a while too...

Parents: so we wasted money buying it for you la?

Me: ....sis will play what.

Parents: next time, dont go out so often.

Me: ......

Day 2:

stayed at home. parents came home at around 9pm. was on the computer.

Parents: you played the computer the whole day?

Me: yea..

Parents: dont play so much. it's bad for your eyesight and you are wasting the electricity

Me: (-_-!!) i will stop soon...

Parents: we bought the computer for you to learn, and not for you to play games.

Me: (what else can i do??) games stimulate my mind...

Parents: gaming for the whole day? let your sis play too.

Me: soon...

Parents: you had your dinner already?

Me: not yet...after i stopped playing on the computer, i will eat....

Parents: yea, "eat" computer makes you full already right?

Me: (what la?) .......

Parents: since you so free to stay at home, why don't you go to the library and read up on some facts.

Day 3:

came home from school....

Parents: where you went?

Me: school...

Parents: for?

Me: (duh?) study la...

Parents: orh...

Me: .....


gosh, why do almost all parents react this way...-_-!!

stay at home also get scolded. go out also get scolded. waste money. waste electricity. dont see why i went to school, they dont scold.

Sbm Club Outing

went to siloso beach today, played some volleyball, soccer and frisbe (whatever u spell it). people who turned up, shilong, lee, zonghuan, kenneth, songchi, audrey, melody, alextine, cheryl, darren, xiaoai, chris, haini, benedict, sahara, qiu yan and elizabeth.

well, lee, shilong, kenneth and zonghuan drank redbull mixed with vodka during near the end of the outing. basically most of them got drank except lee. yea, things happens...

thanks for the advices and tips out there. glad to know that there are people who actually cares. i will heed them well and it just further proves my stand.

as for my views on alcohol, i don't think i will be on it. the most if i ever have to drink it. maximum 2 sips and that's it for me. no offenses here, but sometimes there are human limitations such as dislikes and likes. so, respecting each other's priorities is important as well.

oh and this goes out to everyone, you can change urself to whichever way u like. But never ever change urself to suit a particular group. you are who you are, your impression is what matters and not the group's impression. you decide your own life, do not let others take control of it. you can still have fun and such with a particular group, but remember that you are 1 individual who stands out on your own. do not allow yourself to be conformed under group pressure, you have every right to defend your own interests and that's how you lead your own life.

This is my personal message to everyone out there, i may appear to be very friendly, but i am not 1 to be manipulated around. i like to agree single-sidedly on almost everything, but that does not mean that i am not thinking about the topics. i may sometimes appear to be "emo" (since some ppl like to say that), that's coz i am bored and just dont feel like doing anything at that point in time. i admit that i am actually quite a boring guy, i tried changing....dont think it worked.... nothing much that i can do. guess for the time being, i shall return back to being an observer.

Another message i would like to add on is that, i like to see things in 1 view, as they always say...first impression lasts....so if i ever offend anyone based on this...i am sorry. and sadly there are some matters which has been going on for very long ever since i entered poly, and i have decided to give up on certain stuff. so don't wonder too much if i don't appear to be as enthu as ever. like i said be4 in previous entries of mine under the label "outlooks on life". well, i could also tell that i am a boring guy la and it's partly my fault as well. so i am sorry it has to come this way, but it has not totally been cut off yet. there are still chances, i will always be here until the day i die.

Class Outing

haha, we went to east coast park for bick riding today! went with classmates. met at 11am, reached there abt 12.30pm and started abt 1.30pm... till 7 pm. overall was fun i supposed.

liying didn't know how to ride a bike, and aishah was teaching her how to. then after that kim was helping most of the time. she finally knew how to ride a bike. kudos to her~ with help of aishah and kim, and maybe a few others. i am not sure, but dont flame me just coz i didn't mention ur name =x

jiazhen didn't know how to ride too, but she don't wish to learn and took the 4 wheel'ed bike instead haha.

my legs are dam tired after a whole day of riding....a few showers from the sky happen'ed during the event. OoOps, too bad i wasn't caught in any =) happen'ed to be at burger king each time it shower'ed. lucky me? O.o was tiring la....then zitao, the ppl dunno how to wait de...i was struggling to keep up la....but my legs pain what...ytd just ice skate finish'ed...and somemore i don't really wan to go fast de.....just want to enjoy the scenary and the wind!...but nvm la, i understand how eager it is for them to keep riding forward. so, i just cycle'ed slowly or either that i just got pissed off and ride back to starting point. oh wells, i shan't complain any further. what's done is done. everyone have their own pace. and i guess mine is just slow. so next time, if i ever cycle, i doubt i will be following anyone.

after we returned the bikes at 7pm...we were discussing on where to have dinner. well, apparently there were disagreement and we separated into 2 groups. haha, no big deal. in the end, i also didn't eat and went home....not sporting u say..? haha, right...if i am not sporting enough, i wun even bother to come at all. trust me, the excuses people come up with to avoid certain events....are ridiculous. telling the real reason will not hurt u at all, just lets us know the true side of u. no point keeping a mask infront of outsiders, and wearing another mask infront of family.

came home at last,... didn't realise that the fried rice had crab meat in it....eat till half plate liao then notice...lol....so i help'ed myself to another serving..duh?

Ice Skating Outing

went out for ice skating at jurong east plaza today, together with camp mates...haha, 8 groups of average members of 7 would actually yield a high number of ppl to turn up...but sadly not....only 14 people turned up including me. and yann was included as well. asked him along, when he came online and pm'ed me. concidence i guess. other ppl includes, shilong, evelyn, david, basil, saherah, hong ling, clorine, jereme, venoth, boon chong(ice), wen li and marcia.

was the 2nd time that i did ice skating today, lucky me. i didn't fall at all!! haha, yann was like the coach for most of us. ice, david and clorine knew how to skate. many funny parts, even if i do mention them, it's not that funny unless you were with us. sadly, shilong couldn't skate as he had his leg injuiry still. i suppose it's quite sad that u acutally organised an outing but unable to participate.

well, overall it was fun. altho i was like slacking off most of the time. haha, didn't want to fall! but i kept laughing when some of them fall la.......some dam funny...especially the part when a girl knocked off venoth's leg and they totally fell into 2 other girls....3 ppl collasped onto the wet ice.

Hectic Week

it's been such a busy week that i hardly had the time to update! haha yea right! (lazy only la)

Monday:

went out with camp mates as organised by shilong, went for sakae sushi buffet, movie (Norbit) and then went over to shilong's house for some mahjong and games! stayed overnight there.....

Tuesday:

woke up at 8am at shilong's house...rushed home to bath and get ready for my group's outing at 12pm. went for lunch and then window shoppping....which eventually we did nothing by walking here and there...ended off the day at 6pm...

Wednesday:

got an invitation to play mahjong at a friend's friend's house... haha, went ahead to play...small stakes tho, 10cent 20cent, lost about 3 bucks. =x ended off the day at 8pm

Thursday:

didn't go anywhere this day, but it's time to play scions of fate. a friend of mine has been persuading me to join him haha. so leveled to lvl 18 and went to sleep....at 6 am...

Friday:

received a phonecall at 10am, shilong asking to play mahjong with darin, venoth and faizel at his house. haha first said 12pm. then 2 pm...eventually we started at 4pm. never played money tho. as faizel was a beginner, he learnt how to play mahjong on that day! fast learner haha. he even said it was fun.

Saturday:

Today! haha, time to play scions of fate again. bugger friend of mine has been bugging me to lvl up as soon as possible to help him train. as i am a healer class while he's a spearman class.

that's all for today, hectic week like i said...next week's gonna be more =) ...now that's how a holiday should be like!

Leadership Training Camp

woohoo!! i am back from a 3 day 2 night leadership training camp! overall feeling from the camp: tired, tired and more tiredness. overall lessons for the camp: take initiative! speak up, don't keep quiet! teamwork, cohesiveness and also the bonding! of coz, you have to self-high(zi-high) as well !! xD

there were 8 groups of us!

1st day of the camp, hmm this camp was supposed to be tough. and so the harsh treatments were bought onto us on the 1st day! let's see, we did alot of push-ups! that's besides the main point of activity tho........ so what did we do?........Assigning of quarters to sleep in, males and females were separated into bulks by gender and the facilitators had 1 bulk to themself. at first, they said that 2 lectuerers would be sleeping in the male bulks but in the end, non came.....and that we had to learn the rope tieing onto the bamboo sticks so as to create a structure to have our outdoor cooking. i watch the way they tie the rope until i go dizzy =.= well, i was in group 7 and the teammates were great haha...they did everything! since John(not sbm club zonghuan) was like the super enthu guy and he was like enjoying the leadershi, we just went along ^^v I wasn't really enthu enough and so i merely watched.....without taking any initative for that day and the day after. well, we did a lot of pushups between these interval changes as we were either too noisy or late to assemble. after which, we made another structure out of 2 bamboo sticks for the night's game candle war! was quick enough. only the outdoor cooking structure was longer and requires more cooperation and strategy. and so we did the outdoor cooking after a short while.gosh, it was raining too! but not to fear, the organisers already knew it would rain and so they prepared the cover for our structure. on the first day, everyone did badly on cooking! the tins for cooking were badly burnt and had burnt marks all coz we didn't apply colgate onto the base before cooking it over solid fuels! well, as the saying goes.....once bitten, twice shy.....we were going to do outdoor cooking again the day after. then, we had our station games! can't remember much of the games....but i know 1 of them made us do 30 push ups in 43 secs.......oh pls.....i am weak la! how to do???!?!?! but our group managed to made it though! the other 4 station games were not so bad, it improves on our teamwork and helps us to know each other better. and of coz, next was the candle war! 4 teams had to pick a location within a rectangle to plant their candle structure so as to tie a ballon with a string onto the structure. before that, it was raining! so the strings on the candle structure were all wet.....and guess what? we had to use candles to burn the strings on the opponent teams! and there were only 1 defender for each structure. gosh, it was wet la duh, how to make it go up on fire....and plus, the defender can blow out our flames.....-.- after struggling for like 20 mins?? instructions was given to just focus on burning opponents structure and defenders are not allowed to blow out any more flames haha... after which, we ended the 1st day and off to bed we went at 11.30pm

2nd day of the camp, woke up at 5.30 to shower and stuff to get ready for physical training (PT) which is also known as morning excercise... hmm and like i said, this camp was supposed to be tough, but it so happens that with all the push-ups done the day before. we ended up with alot of casualties! some hurt their legs, some their arms...o.o..... and therefore, we weren't given any form of push-up punishment anymore. well, PT was diffcult on the last part.... stretching your arms on your shoulder level. and rasing it above your head to make a clap....doing it over 200 times is no joke, my dear friends...especially after you have aching arms from the day before's push-ups. well, it was tough and all of us managed to make it through! then it was water sport and games time! kayaking was tough but dam fun! haha, we did alot of stunts on the sea and learnt to work as a team even tho we may not know each other that well! that day marked my first time in kayaking! woohooo, let the experience stack!!! then for water games, we were to use water bombs to wack opponent teams while preventing them from retrieving cans on the field back to their own side. everyone had to do both stunts! it was fun overall, but like i said, John was overly enthu and so we just went along with him. i can't be enthu at all, it takes a long while for me to settle in to new surroundings. our group won twice in a row and that concluded that water game station. there were other stations like spiderweb...etc..., i kinda forgotten the rest....oh wells. then to end off the 2nd day, we had our indoor campfire as it was raining on the outside. nevertheless, it was still fun! all 8 groups performed the skits on the theme "survivor" most of the groups used the training and games as part of their skit, while our group used the story "adam & eve" as our skit! wow, overall i thought it was truely fun! i acted as the wild animal (bear) to attack the main actors. haha, dam funny...didn't know how to act.....then the facilitators had a skit to put up as well! overall, everyone did a great job! then there were jam and hop from 11.30pm till 1am.. well, obviously i sense something is wrong to actually allow us to sleep at 1 am =.= and so i went off to bed first...around 12am......

3rd day of the camp,..........haahahaahhaha, i was right and we were all awoken by the sounds of the alarm drill and facilitators at 4 am! hmm, that's becoz we had to do PT!!! woohoo, this time it was rush and rush and rush! ah, but i wasn't feeling well on this day.....felt onto the floor while trying to get down from the top of the double decker bed....u think that's funny?? why don't u try working out for 2 days and having both arms and legs ache and then falling off only to have it land on ur legs! and i even felt like puking! gosh, wasn't feeling alright so i decided to opt out for PT. as Sahara said, "we don't want any more casulties, so if you are feeling unwell, pls step out and rest!" well, was a short day....after PT, we had to collect badges from 10 game stations....5am to 8am was the duration! woohoo!! the badges in the end was given to us as a reward and symbol of having completed LTC! after which, we went home !

well, i supposed the LTC really is an experience to be behold. you will need to have experience it urself to know how it feels like. even looking at the above entry will not tell you how tough or fun it was! seriously, if there were any chances of another LTC. i would take it up! and i suggest my friends and readers out there to go ahead! it might be tough, but knowing where you stand on ur limitations is great too.
